The Texas Rangers just recently traded for right handed pitcher Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo posted an 8-11 recored with a 3.51 ERA and 146 strikeouts last year for the Milwaukee Brewers. This is one of the biggest deals that has happened this past offseason. No one expected the Rangers to go out and get Gallardo because the Rangers are already locked up with Prince Fielder and Choo, but some how they made it work. The Rangers getting Gallardo will boost their pitching rotation. Last year the Rangers finished last place in the AL West with a 67-95 recored. It was a very disappointing season this past year since the past years the Rangers have been to 2 world series. Last year the Rangers were predicted to finish second or first in the West, but with a lot of injuries happening, they finished in last place in the West. With the edition of Gallardo they should be back on top because they will be getting Derrick Holland, Matt Harrison, Prince Fielder, and Choo back. So not only will they have a very good rotation, they will have most of their lineup back. I think that the rotation for this up coming season will be YU Darvish, Gallardo, Holland, Harrison, and Lewis. I'm not saying that they will finish in first and be back to the world series, but they will more than likely finish second or third in the West. These next couple of years will be their rebuilding years because they are going to need to find better hitters and a better bullpen. Especially since they just traded away Robbie Ross to the Red Sox. and another thing, since they just got Gallardo, will they have enough money for Beltre or are going to have to find another Third basemen after this 2015 season?
