Kyle Busch one of NASCARS best driver in the garage is going to be the forth driver to attempt the Memorial Day weekend double. That includes two of the biggest races, Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR Coca-Cola 600, which will be on May 8th.
Back in 2004 Busch won Sprint Cup Series and in 2010 won Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Many different racers have attempted to do these two races in the same day, including Tony Stewart, which actually succeeded and finished 6th in the Indy and 3rd at Charlotte in 2001.
People are scared to see Busch make it all the way, because of him only racing sprint cars and not Indy cars. Last year Busch tested a Indy car with the thought of being the first driver to try the Double since Jeff Gordon in 2004. “That was a whole kid-in-a-candy-store moment of experiencing an open-wheel car at 220 mph” Busch said talking about racing the Indy car. "You can definitely get a different appreciation for the track and its heritage with an open-wheel car versus a stock car that I've done the last 15 years there” Busch followed by talking about racing his Sprint Car which he loves too race, but like anything new things are always a good change.
