With bad memories and nightmares of the NBA for John Calipari, the NBA is a great possible destination for him. Before the final four loss to the Wisconsin Badgers, it was rumored that Calipari would leave Kentucky after the undefeated season that was projected, but even though he lost I know that the NBA is still in the back of his mind. The young Calipari didn't have a great experience as an NBA head coach where afterwards he moved down to the college level. A few teams that I feel would fit would first would be the Brookly Nets. The Nets just are in a mess right now and don't know what they are doing. With the help of Calipari, they could have a contending team in the next couple years. Another team that would be a good fit would be the New York Knicks. This doesn't look like a possibly, but he would have been a great fit if he had tried this just a couple years earlier. The duo of John and Phil Jackson would be the Batman and Robin of the NBA. Starting over a new team is what John is known best for which is where the Knicks are at this point in time (no disrespect to Derek Fisher who hasn't had anything to work with so far). I would like to see John come back to the NBA. Hopefully with his Hall of Fame induction later in the year will increase his stock. He has a chance to land a great job as a head coach and silence all the haters. I hope that he takes this move into consideration. That would be one more Kentucky person being drafted.
