37- year old Michel Young is reported to be retiring after 13 years and 14 seasons of playing Major League Baseball. Yong has said that he wants to spend more time with is family. Young finished his long career with the Philadelphia Phillies and L.A. Dodgers but is said that he will retire as a Texas Ranger since that is where he was during most of his career. I think that is great that he retired with his home team. Its good that he is going to spend time with his family, baseball is a sport that is always traveling and it can take a toll on a family but I am proud of him to make the decision to retire although he could of played a few more years. Michel Young made a choice to retire rather than sign another year with the Dodgers.
