Alabama running back Derrick Henry was reported posting a picture of his brand new car, a Dodge Challenger, on Instagram. Former West Virginia University quarterback then jumped in on the post saying that Alabama offers cars to so many athletes to come and play at their school. That Alabama even offered him a brand new Corvette to come play for them, that he actually turned down because he didn't believe it was right.
Oscar Pistorius the man who was accused of shooting his girlfriend four times in the month of February of 2013. I believe a lot of people have mixed opinions about if he really believed meant to shoot his girlfriend or if he really believed it was someone breaking in. His lawyer made the point of if someone is trying to harm you, you wouldn't just stand there and not move and let them hurt you. Wouldn't you check if you actually knew the person before shooting them? The lawyer tries to defend him, by saying he didn't see his girlfriend get out of bed and it was pitch black.Day twenty five in the court room, evidence is still coming out, defense lawyer's trying to prove that he still wasn't aware that it was his girlfriend. To this day I do not believe this man didn't know this was his girlfriend, I feel like something was happening and he was drunk and pushed to his limits. I feel like some people are sticking on his side, because he is a athlete people used to look up too. No matter how good someone once was, and no matter if they are a athlete or famous; people will watch and look up to you and when you make a mistake as big as this. I understand he has not been convicted in the court of law, but when the facts add up and all fingers point to you there is really no way out. The date to continue the trial has been pushed back to May 5th, so the court can continue with other cases. When trial continues it is said that the defense will continue to defend Oscar Pistorius
The highly anticipated 2014 NFL Draft is finally over and done with. As expected, Jadeveon Clowney went #1 to the Texans. Everyone knows where Johnny Football's future lies, and the Cowboys... well, nobody really knows what to think about them. Let me help you grade them.
Let's start with the Cowboy's first pick Zach Martin out of Notre Dame. This pick is a B+. They should've started the draft with a defender, whether it was in the secondary or on the line. But, they got a great lineman to protect the worn down Tony Romo. On to the 2nd pick which is Demarcus Lawrence, the outside linebacker out of Boise State. This pick gets an A. Awesome trade up for the Cowboys from the Redskins to get a Demarcus to replace the Demarcus we lost this offseason (Ware). This will be a great addition to bring some young talent to the team. Anthony Hitchens from Iowa got drafted in the 4th round was another outside linebacker. Unfortunately, this gets a C. The Cowboys must know something we don't because nobody knows much about this kid. The next player drafted was Devin Street, wide receiver out of Pittsburgh. This pick gets a B+. Good pick but I think we have enough talent for the wide receiver. With the horrid Miles Austin gone though, this was a understandable pick. Ben Gardner was the first pick of many for the Cowboys in the 7th and final round of the draft. The big boy out of the Stanford D-line was a A in my grade book and will be a good addition to the line with all we lost and we need some young talent down on the line. We move to Will Smith out of Texas Tech and gets a B-. Good pick up for the Cowboys but 3 linebackers in the draft is just a tad too much. We need to focus on secondary at this point. Which leads up to the next pick, Ahmad Dixon out of Baylor get a B +. We could've grabbed a better safety earlier in the draft but not a terrible pick by any means. Ken Bishop the defensive tackle out of Northern Illinois was another B+ pick and for the same reason, we could've found a better tackle earlier but we will have to settle. Finally Terrance Mitchell out of Oregon gets an A. Anyone out of Oregon with the defense they have is an A in my book and was a steal for the Cowboys.
Overall, the Cowboys get a B in this 2014 NFL Draft. Wish we could've done a bit better on the defensive side but we got what we need eventually. Now its time for the boys to go to work!

I'm sure everyone has been following the playoffs and rooting for their favorite teams. Now we all know their have been some uncanny turnouts especially with the Memphis Grizzles and Oklahoma City Thunder. But I just wanted to take the time to tell you guys about my NBA playoff projections and champion. So, lets get to it and to start off I'm a Miami Heat fan but will not be biased on the information I state. I am confident that this isn't the best playoff match ups for any team. The finals will host Miami Heat and either San Antonio or Los Angeles Clippers. This will turn out because of the great chemistry in the Heat's roster and their drive to achieve another championship. As well as the Spurs coming to get revenge from their loss last seasons' playoffs against Miami. While I personally foresee a matchup between the Clippers and Heat because of their controversy with Donald Sterling the former owner. They have the emotion needed for the playoffs to get to the finals and win a championship. -T.J. Sims, Overtime Radio
